The peoples of Thailand have long since revered caves as holy places or places that house spirits. Accordingly caves are highly revered places and many have been fitted with shrines and grottoes as places of worship and respect. Found throughout the country the caves are all natural and formed from the dissolving of limestone over time by rainwater. This collection shows a selection of the cave temple shrines of Thailand.
